05/29 – Chanson du Soir is ready to record!
We will have a Kickstarter page up shortly with lots of wonderful ways to earn a personalized gift in exchange for supporting us. Our next CD project is our main focus this summer. The Spring was filled with teaching at Cerritos College, Cypress College, Green Brooms, Bellflower Music Center, Morey’s Music, and The Music Lab…Yes, we have a lot of jobs! Now on to a summer of being artists again!

03/21 – We just had our second NPR interview (the first was on KUHA 91.7 “The Front Row” in Houston last year) with Kevin Kelley on his show “Live and Local” on WillFM 90.9 Illinois Public Media. We will post a link when it is up. Kevin was lovely to chat with and we hope you get a chance to check it out. We are off tomorrow to Missouri and Illinois for our fifth stint to the Midwest, so if you live in the area, we hope to see you out on the road!

02/04 – We had a wonderful trip to Florida!!! We got three rousing standing ovations, did a world premiere of a prelude for solo guitar by Brian Christopher Madigan, swam with manatees, and spent a day visiting The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. While we were there, we got a call to perform in Florida again, so we are headed back this weekend:

David is now teaching Classical Guitar at both Cypress College and at Cerritos College. Chelsea just moved up to four days of teaching voice and piano at Green Brooms Music Academy in Santa Monica and at Bellflower Music Center. David’s piano and guitar duet with Robert Johnson will premier at the Long Beach Classical Guitar Society on February 25th. We hope your 2012 is going swimmingly and you all are well! We hope to see you soon! MidWest Tour 2012 in March!

We’re learning new music for our next CD. Lots of new Brian Madigan in the works. We’re both teaching a lot and David is super excited to be working on the new Frank Wallace music for solo guitar he got yesterday! In addition, David has been working with the fabulous pianist Robert Johnson on a program of guitar and piano music that they hope to premier sometime in the Fall.
